Scam und Geld her

Dies hingegen ist lediglich Werbung oder auch "Kundenfang" für Interessierte unter Zuhilfenahme des World Wide Netz. Zu Spam möchte ich das nicht zählen, obwohl auf direktem ausgesuchte Künstler angeschrieben wurden.

Vor Wochen habe ich die Galerie aus dem Blogroll entfernt, da keine Neuerungen mehr aufgetreten sind. Eine Antwort der Nicole Rousseau habe ich eh nie bekommen und habe ebenso aber nichts vorausbezahlt. Aufschlussreich aber doch, was über diese Galerie broadwaygallery.com und die Zeitschrift www.nyartsmagazine sowohl zu finden als auch zu lesen ist.

1. Welt Art Media in New York ist absolut ein Betrug! Sie zielen beeindrucken naive Künstler Tausende von Dollar, um ein Teil NY Arts Magazine sein. Die Startgebühr beträgt 500 Dollar. Aber sie verlangen Tausende für Artikel und andere dumme Projekte

World Art Media in New York is absolutely a scam! They target impressionable naive artists thousands of dollars to be a part of NY Arts Magazine. The introductory fee is $500. But they charge thousands for articles and other silly projects…)

However, I've been around long enough in the art world to sense SCAM. So I Googled it and lo and behold, the words 'Lubelski' 'NY Arts Magazine' and 'scam' appear together rather more often  than is comfortable. Certainly enough times to make me keep my cheque book in my handbag. So be warned, it appears this setup is just legal enough to allow it to continue to operate, but its not all it appears to be. 
Here's some of the info I received:

"World Art Media in New York is absolutely a scam! (….)

Das war meine erhaltene e-mail:

"Dear Johann, 

My name is Nicole Rousseau, I am the publicist/curator for New York Arts Magazine in New York City. I came across your art work and found it quite striking. I would be very interested in representing some of your pieces in our magazine and our SoHo gallery.......

Looking forward to working with you,

Nicole Rousseau
Publicist & Associate Curator"

Und was hat die liebe Nicole, so es sie denn gibt oder gab, mir geschrieben: sie fand meine Kunst „quite striking". Das hatte doch etwas? Schlagende Argumente.

3. Es scheint, World Art Medien und NY Arts magazine (gleiche Firma) Tausende von unerwünschten E-Mails pro Monat an Künstler schicken und auf ihrer Website versprechen sie die Veröffentlichung Publikation Ihrer Kunst …. gegen Gebühr. ..habe  von anderen Künstlern erfahren, dass die Gebühr bei $ 500 beginnt und geht von dort bis $ 4000 und $ 6000 je nachdem, was sie sagen, was sie für Sie tun." Mehr ist hier zu lesen.

Nun, das gewiß, wenn man diese Geldbeträge bedenkt, die es hierzu vorzufinanzieren gilt, kann man getrost von nicht mehr ganz seriös sagen, dass das nicht mehr o.k ist.

 

Dennoch immer wieder das Resultat, sich nicht näher damit auslassen, ganz einfach, wen es stört.
